Nothing left to impress,
Lacking a strive and a cause.
Raw, exposed stinging emotions
Run rampant, crashing and breaking,
Tearing endearments apart.
To be saved from isolation
merely a false sense of hope.
A light snuffed out amidst the dark.
The past resurfaces once again,
Clawing its way forward, scars bleeding,
Scars burning, scars smashing among the silence,
Among the nothing.
The rain poured, drenching every nook and cranny, and even the smallest squirrel was hidden away from the downpour. The moon was obscured by thick gray clouds, not even the least bit of moonlight shone through. Off in the distance, a clap of thunder rang aloud, echoing about the trees and land. In the midst of the torrents sat a young woman on a bench, hair clinging to her head and clothes to her body. Her chest was heaving, and a sob escaped her barely parted lips. A man knelt in front of her, his hands holding one of her hands, he kept trying to catch her glance. Her face never met his, and tears began to brim her bright blue eyes, indisti
The world keeps on spinning,
One by one, the days go on.
Night and day, intertwined in their never ending dance.
One half is known, the other forsaken.
Born to shadows, they walk the night,
Lurking... Searching... For their heart.
But where is their heart..?
Daylight holds no answers,
To the night, they went.
That celestial orb cast a shadow,
But in a light too dim to see.
One eve, the shadow became solid,
Cast onto the ground as a freak.
The disks continued to turn, time and time again,
Shunned and spurned, walking the land it called home,
The heart began to form, crooked and all.
Learning by the whispers from fellow shadows,

Step forward, you know better,
Those lies are catching up to you.
Your history begins to repeat.
That gut feeling is overwhelming,
To run and hide,
Remaining loyal.
Running from your confinement,
You've dreamed of this day,
But remain all bark and no bite.
Too scared of consequences,
Too scared to say the truth,
You will forever be damned to silence and suffering.
The guilt and betrayal cannot compare to the pain of two years.
All of the waiting aught for nothing.
One snowy eve changed mentalities,
Given a glimpse of a light,
Drawn to a flame,
Dazed.
Caught up in a moment,
You flee.
Running to the unknown in the chance fo
Come to my rescue, if you dare,
Many have tried, and I don't know how I fare,
But I understand, if you're scared.
Ashes to ashes, it will always be,
I'm sorry that I couldn't see
How imperfect and broken
I've become
I wouldn't ask anyone
To go against these odds
I warned you about the task
The task is simple
The task is sweet
The task is sour
The task is everything
Are you ready?
I know I'm not
Some say it's contagious
I'd have to agree
Agree that I'm not healthy
So run while you can
Before it spreads
And consumes everything you hold dear
Your mind engulfed in red
The blood that splatters
Across the walls and in the h

Arguably.
Anyway, here's an update:
I started college. Everything is going okay, the second semester is definitely more challenging than the first.
Lesson learned: college history classes are not a joke.
What I wrote previously about my summer, I learned that my fuck up was truly one of the worst things I've done in my life. I can't go a day without thinking about it. I attempted to come to terms with it, to set things right, but it only made everything worse.
Lesson learned: don't whore around.
I'm still in a relationship. Things are overall pretty good. Times are getting difficult, since money doesn't grow on trees.
Lesson learned: j
These past few months brought me through the wringer.
I graduated high school. Yay.
Had to pass Pre-Calculus though, which I barely got through..BUT I DID IT.
Boyfriend and I of one year broke up near the end of the school year.
Made some pretty bad choices.
I'm definitely not an innocent little kid anymore.
That was probably one of the darkest times of my life.
Dating someone else. I'm pretty hopeful. He's really sweet.
Can deal with my shit.
Updated "Orbs" if anyone wishes to read it.
Going to college, Dakota State University, to be exact.
Intending to major in Cyber Security.
Life is funny though, so I'm curious as to how that will wo
Recently, I went through every single journal I submitted on this website.
Odd, no?
It's a long read, but I think it was worth it.
I learned a lot about myself, and life for kids growing up.
I joined this site when I was barely 13, and had a thing for Greek mythology.
Thus the name 13athena.
I was pretty happy back then, not much for drama.
As I was turning 14, I was told that these next few years would be difficult.
Being ignorant, I didn't think much about what they said.
But they were so right.
Middle school is a bitch.
So is High School.
There's so many things that happen,
Events that will change you entirely,
And shape how
